about me

I started my career in Financial Planning in the UK in 2000 and worked for a major bank for 9 years, then as an adviser with the UK military until I emigrated to Australia in 2012.  This is certainly the lucky country and it’s been a great adventure starting a new life here! A highlight for me was becoming an Australian Citizen in 2021.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?
I am definitely a people person! I love hearing people’s stories, getting to know them and building long term relationships with them and their family.

What do you love most about being part of Calder Wealth Management?
Being part of a team that all have different roles, but who are ultimately working towards the same goal of helping clients.

What would you be doing if you weren’t working in Wealth Management?
I would be travelling, as even though I have travelled widely in Europe, there are many parts of Australia and the rest of the world which I still want to see!

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
Being able to give my clients peace of mind and supporting them to make some of the biggest decisions in their life.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
I am most proud of winning the “Emerging Talent” excellence award for financial advice in 2014.

How should people think about their wealth?
It’s not just about the numbers - it’s about your values, what’s important to you and putting yourself in a position where you have a choice to live the life you want.

What do you love to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, visiting the local beaches and wineries. I like walking and running to keep fit. I love going to watch live music - I have a very eclectic taste! I am also a keen musician, playing clarinet in the Onkaparinga City Concert Band and I also play keyboards and sax in a rock band!

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?
Raising my two teenagers - they are awesome kids!
