Brooke Romano

about me

I worked in travel for many years before being given the opportunity to join a financial planning practice. I have now been in the industry for 12 years and continue to enjoy helping people on their financial journey. I love snow skiing, exploring other countries and eating good food. My favourite destinations are Japan, Canada and Africa. But the highlight of my life is becoming a mother to my two gorgeous girls..

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?
I love assisting people to meet their financial goals, being able to give clients that peace of mind that they are going in the right direction and building the client relationship along the way.

What do you love most about being part of Calder Wealth Management?
The Team, working with like minded people, and the work life balance is fantastic.

What would you be doing if you weren’t working in Wealth Management?
Pre covid I would have said a travel writer & photographer, now I am leaning towards interior stylist. Love shopping for home décor.

What do you love to do outside of work?
I love hitting the beach with my family, trying out new playgrounds and when possible sneaking off with a good book and escaping the daily rush.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to what you do?
I have a lot of empathy for people, I enjoy hearing about people’s lives and this translates into how I work with them, how I approach their situation and know what they expect.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?
Being a Mum, watching my daughters achieve their milestones and lead happy, healthy lives definitely makes me proud. I also take a lot of pride in maintaining my friendships locally and abroad, I still write to a pen pal I have had since I was 4 years old and now have friends I send snail mail to in Japan, Switzerland, England, Canada and USA. Nothing like getting a hand written letter.

What Is the biggest challenge in wealth management?
Staying abreast of a constantly changing industry and keeping up with the Advisers, the work never slows down.

What Is the most influential book you’ve read?
I am a regular bookworm, however the book that helped me in life the most has been Louise Hay’s ‘You Can Heal Your Life’.
